Hello Tomorrow identified KOMPAS as one of the Top 500 Deep-Technology companies in the world, focusing on artificial intelligence in mobility. We were selected as we’re solving the problem around a seamless, smoother and and more enjoyable travel experience through the use of data and smart algorithms.
Overall Award Winner
Visa’s Everywhere Initiative is a competition that aims to foster partnerships between Visa and innovative startups. KOMPAS walked away with €50,000 after not only looking at a solution for problems around regional intercity challenges, but winning the overall 2017 award. We’re looking forward to working with VISA.
Shortlist for Hottest Travel Startup
The Europas are the leading awards for Europe's best tech startups, and celebrate ‘forward thinking, progressive and innovative tech companies’. KOMPAS was shortlisted as one of 2017’s hottest travel startups. We were recognised for our use of machine learning, and data, to personalise experiences for users.
Top 5 Finalist
Digital DNA, seeks to find some of the most innovative technology companies around the world for a chance to win a prize worth £150,000. After making it to the final in 2016, KOMPAS came back stronger than ever, and went on to be one of the grand-finalists, placing in the top 5 startups that were selected from the 34 finalists.
Overall Cohort Winner
London Midland seeks to identify and work with some of the most disruptive companies working in the railway industry, and set up London Midland LABS, to foster these relationships. KOMPAS was part of the first cohort, and was not only selected as one of 10 companies, but won the ‘Overall Cohort Winner’ award.
Top 5 Finalist
After applying to compete in the 2016 VOOM Pitchathon, KOMPAS was selected as one of 5 companies to pitch in the 2017 VOOM on Tour competition, with a chance to win lunch with Richard Branson. We were selected for our innovative approach towards personalisation, receiving praise from Virgin senior executives.

The University Startup World Cup is the leading program and competition for university talent, around the world. KOMPAS was one of 50 teams selected to pitch in the world finals of the University Startup World Cup in Copenhagen. We not only represented the UK, but placed 2nd in our category.
The NACUE Varsity Pitch looks to identify the UK’s top graduate and student businesses in the UK. KOMPAS was selected as one of the 2016 semi-finalists, for the TATA Innovation Category, with our use of personalisation within the travel industry. It was clear to judges we were disrupting the travel space already.
Top 140 Company
Virgin VOOM has the mission of identifying and supporting leading UK companies. After entering, KOMPAS not only secured over 5000 votes in the public voting stage of the Virgin VOOM Competition, but were selected to pitch to leading executives as one of the 140 companies selected for the live Pitchathon.
Digital DNA, seeks to find some of the most innovative technology companies around the world for a chance to win a prize worth £150,000. KOMPAS were selected as one of the finalists to pitch at the world final in Belfast, alongside 24 other finalists, pitching to leading businesspeople and investors in technology.
The Entrepreneurs’ Organization’s GSEA is the premier global competition for student entrepreneurs who actively run a business. KOMPAS was selected as the UK World Finalist, over thousands of applicants who entered. We placed in the top 10 companies worldwide, and judges were impressed with traction to date.

Best Startup Idea
Global Graduates hold a yearly competition, highlight some of the UK’s brightest and best students studying abroad as part of their degree. In 2015, KOMPAS (then Hidden Planet) was selected by the judges as the Best Startup of the year, highlighting the work put in by the team, while still pursuing academia.
Shortlist for Digital Innovation Award
Accenture hold an annual competition for the most disruptive digital companies around the world. KOMPAS (then Hidden Planet) was selected as one of the 14 companies to be shortlisted for the 2015 Accenture Digital Innovation Award, over the thousands of applicants that entered to be recognised for innovation.
