Tom is a seasoned entrepreneur, and has built products from the ground up. He represented the UK in the world finals of the GSEA, advised Downing Street on young enterprise and mentors for Virgin StartUp and other organisations. He’s passionate about technology, and gave a TEDx talk on the ‘Future of Technology’.

Co-Founder and COO

Olivia has worked and lived in a number of different countries, picking up a passion for culture and language along the way. She was shortlisted with KOMPAS in the Virgin VOOM competition, and was named one of 25 female entrepreneurs under 25. She represented the UK in the world finals of the USWC in Copenhagen.

Kurt Henderson

Kurt Henderson

Co-Founder and CPO

Kurt leads product design, and has worked with leading travel companies such as Directline Holidays, Contiki, and Secret Escapes in a design/product development role. He’s built his own startup from the ground up, and is able to blend the trending elements of design, in a disruptive and innovative way.

Douglas Walker

Doug Walker

Co-Founder and CTO

Doug is a prime example of what can be achieved by not going to university, he pursued his own path in New York learning Javascript, Node and React, which makes him instrumental to the team. Doug was placed top in his General Assembly class and is 1 of 20 young entrepreneurs to watch in 2017 by Startups magazine.

Damien has plenty of experience within the development realm, and has worked for prestigious companies for the past few years. With fantastic cloud deployment experience, he's someone that will help us deploy our product to the wider market, and help support product growth in the coming months.

Daniel Johnson

Head of Growth

Daniel helps people understand our vision, and gets people loving the app. Before KOMPAS, Daniel founded a number of startups, and had one successful exit. He's also been Head of Marketing for a VC-backed startup and mentors several others at Google Launchpad. His love of data-driven marketing borders on obsessive.

Julia Larsen

Julia Larsen

Munich Community Manager

Julia is taking care of all things business, PR, and media in Munich. She is utilising her international background and her degree in psychology to promote KOMPAS in Germany. At university she was involved with the innovation centre, and has always had an interest in the interaction between society and new technology.

Anna Beddow

Full Stack Developer

Anna joined KOMPAS to focus on Javascript, React and Node.js. Before KOMPAS, she worked in brand advertising for clients such as Nike, Warner Bros. and Microsoft for several years. Anna is passionate about app development and is excited to help users discover hidden gems across the globe.

Full Stack Developer

Dylan is a recent graduate of LSE with an MSc in MISDI. Due to his passion for start-ups, beautiful design and mobile development, he went on to learn to code at one of Europe's leading software development bootcamps. He's now joined KOMPAS and its journey to become your pocket guide to the world's urban jungles.

Full Stack Developer

After graduating, Sam spent a year as a researcher at Toscafund contributing to various papers before joining AAM. After 4 years at the company analysing the opportunity for technological improvement, he moved on to study at a wold class coding bootcamp, and has now started a super exciting journey at KOMPAS.

Mark is a student at the University of Exeter, working towards a BSc in Economics. Mark previously worked at Havas Worldwide, assisting the CEO during a transition to a new business model. He’s passionate about travel and business development, and joined the KOMPAS team in an operations capacity.

Emilie is a graduate of Bristol University with a BSc in Psychology. She's previously worked at Havas Worldwide, and at Temple Cycles as a social media manager. She has a passion for innovative and experimental marketing, with an emphasis on social media and joined KOMPAS as part of the growth team.

Neil has direct experience in financial consulting and targeted strategic business development. Before specialising in fundraising, he was CEO of EasyNet, and worked in executive positions for Cisco and AT&T, driving organic business growth strategies. He's now a mentor and investor for Techstars.

Marie Kluth KOMPAS

Marie Kluth

Non-Executive Director

Marie's career has been heavily focused in the M&A realm, specialising specifically in Technology, Media and TMT Industries. She has a $3B+ deal track record and an extensive network across the US and Europe, and has worked in various roles including MD for EY and VP for Credit Suisse.

David Solomides KOMPAS

David Solomides

Operations Advisor

Specialised in Business Development and Innovation, David has a proven track record of success, winning corporate and customer commitment, improving revenue and margin, implementing change and thinking "outside the box". He's worked in executive positions for Deutsche Bank and Misys.

Derek is a seasoned legal professional, focusing specifically on innovation. As a partner and head of innovation for Gowling WLG, Derek was recognised by the FT as one of the top two lawyers in the UK for innovation. He's frequently quoted in a range of leading publications such as the Economist.

Stephen is a natural born entrepreneur having achieved success through multiple ventures. He specialises in online marketing, website creation, SEO and social marketing. He sits on the board for a few high-growth startups, and is the European Director for the GSEA Award, hosted by the Entrepreneurs Organisation.
